Dinner Compact - The ultimate off-the-premises meal-transport system
Having entered into a cooperation with Dinner-Compact, temp-rite has now added a high-quality off-the-premises meal-transport system to its product range. The versatile Dinner-Compact system supports the preparation, heat-insulation, collection, transport and delivery of meals bound for on- and off-the-premises dining locations. It can be used in just about any type of meal-distribution operation, since the Dinner-Compact boxes will accommodate both round plates and rectangular meal dishes.
temp-rite is offering two versions of the system. With both, you can be sure that your hot and cold meals with reach the diners in perfect condition.
The robust and lightweight Dinner-Compact transport boxes are made of a crumble- and break-resistant type of expanded polypropylene (EPP). This material was selected because it is extremely hard-wearing, and on account of its excellent heat-insulation properties in the range between - 40°C and + 120°C. The boxes are dishwasherproof, stackable and easy to keep clean. They can be shut tight, so transporting food to out-of-house locations without spillage is not a problem.
The Dinner-Compact boxes will accommodate system dishware in the form of either round plates or rectangular meal dishes. Four different versions of each type of dish are available. All of the dishware components are rimmed and stackable. They are made of high-fired, hotel-quality china.
The Dinner-Compact dishes are supplied with spillproof, easy-to-clean silicone lids that are stable yet flexible enough for elderly diners to remove and replace without difficulty. These lids will keep food hot or cold in ambient temperatures in the range between - 40° C and + 200°C. In addition, they have a steam-release slit to prevent food from becoming soggy. That means meals can be deep-frozen direct in the dishes as soon as the lids have been snapped in place. Like the dishes, the silicone lids are microwaveable, and as they can withstand oven temperatures, they don’t need to be removed when the time comes to regenerate meals prepared by the Cook-Chill method.
Coloured bars can be attached to the outside of the boxes to identify individual meals. And as the lids are available in a variety of colours, these too can be used as meal identifiers.
By including Dinner-Compact in its product programme, temp-rite has given its vote of confidence to one of the most versatile off-the-premises meal-service systems currently available. And it has also closed one of the last gaps in its own range of meal-distribution offerings.
