History
temp-rite International has developed itself during the past 35 years to become the leader on the European market for meal service products in health care. The original idea is much older and dates back to the American company Aladdin Synergetics Inc. in Nashville. Some of the important historical events:
1908
The 26 year old representative Victor Johnson invents the kerosene oil lamp and names his factory Aladdin.
1968
Especially for an American airline, the first patented compact system was developed, in which hot and cold products could be served side by side at the right temperature.
1970
Using the trade name “temp-rite”, Aladdin supplied the compact insulated tray systems to hospitals, starting a revolution in meal distribution in health care.
1974
Aladdin starts a number of partner companies in European countries, using the name temp-rite International.
1987
Using the name Temp-Futura, temp-rite International launches a successful regeneration system, suitable for individual meal products.
1991
New production methods and materials for the production of insulated trays result in higher standards, which lead to temp-rite International becoming a market leader.
1994
The patented ITC (Intelligent Thermo Control) controlled regeneration elements result in the Temp-Futura becoming a leading product in terms of regeneration techniques.
1996
Using the name Temp-Active, temp-rite International revolutionized the pellet systems. The bases are heated using induction techniques, allowing a longer period during which the temperature of the meals can be guaranteed.
1999
Temp-Induc, the induction system for the insulated tray and pellet systems, offers new possibilities in cook-serve and cook-chill meal service.
2002
In this year temp-rite International Holding BV changes owner. The Ali-group SpA in Milan Italy is one of the renowned in terms of Food Service Equipment.
2002
In cooperation with several health care organizations in the Netherlands, temp-rite International develops the breakfast trolley, which is later name Serve-Rite. The possibility to serve an à la carte bread meal turns out to be very successful and health care organizations in surrounding countries soon followed this idea.
2009
temp-rite has completely upgraded its Temp-Futura system and incorporated the latest technical advances in this latest generation of its workhorse insulated cart series. The new design takes account of the preferences expressed by the majority of users consulted by temp-rite during the design phase, and meets every conceivable set of ergonomic requirements.
